[[Kodi]] can be installed as a standalone [[Linux]] distribution easily on a Raspberry Pi with [LibreELEC](https://kodi.wiki/view/LibreELEC), [OSMC](https://kodi.wiki/view/OSMC), and [XBian](https://kodi.wiki/view/XBian). The reason I decided to work on this project was that I bought a subscription to [seedbox.io](https://seedbox.io/) to be able to add torrents to that box. The subscription is only $5.49 a month for a shared box that has 600gb, unlimited FTP speed 100Mbit uplink, and they are respected on the community. [[Kodi]] offers the option to add a network location, with many options allowing for the media contained in it to be accessed. I installed [OSMC](https://kodi.wiki/view/OSMC) due to the simplicity and bought the [Vilros Raspberry Pi Zero Complete Starter Kit](https://vilros.com/products/vilros-raspberry-pi-zero-2-w-complete-starter-kit) since it has all the necessary components for me to get the home theater system setup. You can buy any Raspberry Pi you wish, since they are all compatible with the [[Linux]] distributions above. The following guides should help you get this project setup:
