Something I learned pretty early in my career is that companies don't care and will fire you on the spot if it will affect their wallet. Getting hung up on a company because you want to change them or you are in between a project is not healthy. If you are unsatisfied with your job is time to move on. Better yet, keep your options open and keep applying to jobs constantly. Increase or decrease the amount of jobs you apply by intensity (need a job now vs meh, just want to see what is out there). This will keep your interview skills sharp and allow you to negotiate for a higher salary without being desperate. If you only apply when you hate your job it will affect your negotiated salary since you will be more open for a lesser salary.
