When you got an overview of the problem and know what exactly needs to be done you need to figure out who can help with this task. Sometimes a team approach is the best way to get a project done, or someone else has a better set of skills and/or time to get the project done. Holding work hostage does not help anybody, you need to delegate work when you can. The keys of effective delegation:
- Build a team of competent people you trust
- Establish goals and metrics to monitor progress
- Translate higher-level goals into smaller, more actionable items
- Reinforce these ideas through process
